What do you Believe to be True?

Law_Of_Attraction-300x214What came first the chicken or the egg?

Did your beliefs create your life experience, or did your life experience create your beliefs?

Where did your beliefs come from? You most likely didn’t choose them through careful consideration of the sort of life they would produce for you.

Most of your beliefs were probably adopted from your parents, your teachers, your friends, complete strangers, and the environment you grew up in.

A belief is truth for the person who holds that belief; it is not necessarily truth for everyone. The reason for this is that beliefs are not universal truths they are chosen truths. In other words everybody gets to choose what they believe.

The beliefs we hold are reflected in our life experience. I’m sure you have plenty of evidence that proves your beliefs to be true but if you take a moment and look around you will find that there are people living lives that contradict your beliefs. This is because they hold beliefs that support their life experience, just as your beliefs support your life experience.

So how can both your beliefs and the other person’s beliefs be true when they contradict each other?

The answer is simple: they can’t be true.

For something to be true it must apply to everyone, everywhere. This means that very few things on this planet are actually true. In fact, the only things that I can think of that are true for everyone, everywhere are universal laws.

Gravity, for example, is a universal law. Everyone and everything on earth is attracted to the ground. You can try and resist this law by pushing against it and, for a time, you may actually succeed – like jumping in the air or flying a plane – but the moment you relax, gravity will pull you back to the ground.

The Law of Attraction is also a universal law. The Law of Attraction is:

‘That which is like unto itself is drawn*’

What this means is, to that which you put your attention or focus on, more of the same will be drawn to you, giving the illusion of it being true.

Now, I say illusion but for the person holding the belief it will feel very real and their life will reflect its reality.

Ironically, if you choose not to believe in the Law of Attraction, the law will support your belief by providing you with more reasons not to believe in it.

The Law of Attraction is not about truth, it is about supporting your chosen beliefs, whatever they may be. The Law of Attraction is not interested in the state of your life, it is there to support what you choose to believe – pleasant or unpleasant. So this means that, unless your beliefs and desires are congruent, you will manifest into your life what you choose to believe and not necessarily what you want.

The Law of Attraction works diligently, twenty-four seven. It will support and strengthen any belief, positive or negative, until you change that belief, allowing the possibility for a different outcome in your life.

The Law of Attraction applies to everything in your life: health, prosperity, relationships, career, popularity, confidence – you name it and it is affected by what you believe.

So lets sum it up:

Beliefs are not truth.

You have the power to choose any belief you like.

What you choose to believe will be manifested into you life through The Law of Attraction.

It’s a bit of a no brainer. Choose beliefs that are congruent with what you want and get rid of the ones that don’t support what you want.
